I stared at him for a long moment, searching his face for any sign of doubt or hesitation.
“I’m here, aren’t I?” I whispered.
His lips curved into a smile, a mix of relief and love.
He took my hand and kissed my knuckles, lingering for a moment.

I smiled back, the truth sinking deep into my heart.
“Come on, love. Let’s go get some cake and champagne.”
