She started acting in the 1990s. She won an Oscar for Girl, Interrupted. She’s also known for Maleficent, By the Sea, and The Tourist. She has directed films like In the Land of Blood and Honey and First They Killed My Father.
She’s a UNHCR Special Envoy and does a lot of humanitarian work. She’s won awards for it.
