Host Neil Cavuto, with Fox News for 28 years, will announce his departure after “Your World” on Thursday.
“Cavuto’s one of the few old-timers from the late 1990s.
He’s well-liked at Fox. His leaving isn’t due to a feud. It’s an industry trend. He got a new contract but declined. Fox wanted him to stay. A source said he chose to go,” Mediaite reported.
“The cable news biz is tightening belts. Stars are leaving rather than taking pay cuts.
Fox News is better off than rivals with high ratings and a good multi-platform plan. But even Murdoch’s giant isn’t spared,” the outlet added.
