At Abundant Life, a nondenominational school for 420 K-12 students, Rupnow, a student, fired a handgun. A teacher and a student died, six injured. Rupnow shot herself. She was inside, no security breach.
Ongoing Investigation
Chief Shon Barnes says finding the motive is key. “It’s a mix, too early to say,” he said. Cops are checking Rupnow’s electronics with FBI techs. “There are always signs,” Barnes said. They’re also looking into how she got the gun, if it was her parents’ and if they were negligent. Early signs show no family wrong.
