A Cracker Barrel joint in Connecticut got flak when a customer saw what seemed like “nooses on the ceiling.”
The restaurant apologized for the decor, saying it wasn’t real nooses but wrapped cords for decoration. Still, the chain admitted it was wrong to miss the resemblance before showing them.
Twitter user Alfonso Robinson shared pics, asking about the noose-like decor. Cracker Barrel said the cord was part of an old soldering iron display.
The restaurant quickly took it down. Activists had a good chat with the manager, agreeing that views vary with experiences.
Some users want a full decor check, but Cracker Barrel stressed its dedication to being inclusive and getting rid of the wrong display. They know they need to be more careful in the future.
