Over 20 years after 9/11, new Twin Towers collapse footage has emerged. Kei Sugimoto, who shot it, found old tapes in his closet and released it. “Wild that we’re 23 years out and still getting new clips,” a Reddit user said.
Sugimoto filmed from a NYC building roof at 64 St Marks Place. His video shows the towers falling from the north, with smoke before the collapse. “A view you don’t see from south or east,” a viewer noted.
Since its July 2023 release, the footage has sparked online chatter. One user said, “Makes me think of all the hidden history in people’s attics.”
Sugimoto sharing this adds to 9/11’s visual story and cements its place in our 21st-century memory.
