Peter Morris, a 47-year-old dad of two and the owner of Little Dragon Pizza, passed away due to cancer. The Prince and Princess of Wales extended their sincerest condolences.
The royals had an encounter with Morris back in 2023. They purchased 12 pizzas from him for the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team during a visit to Dowlais Rugby Club in Merthyr Tydfil.
When they learned about his death, Kate and William sent a letter to his wife Tracey. It said, “We can only start to fathom what a huge void he’ll leave in your life. My heart goes out to you and your family.”
Previously, Morris fought against oesophageal cancer and emerged victorious. However, unfortunately, he was later diagnosed with adrenal gland and liver cancer. He got this news around four months after meeting William and Kate. Their letter expressing sympathy and condolences was read aloud at his funeral.
The letter from Kensington Palace stated: “Catherine and I really liked meeting Pete and helping to distribute pizzas to everyone from the Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team.

“We are aware that Pete was an extremely committed and highly regarded part of the community, which is clear from the reaction to his passing.”
“I hope you can find some comfort in knowing the influence he had on so many people,” it added.
“You and your family are in our thoughts during this tough time.”
The news of Morris’ passing was announced on the social media page of his business. The outpouring of support from the community was massive, which shows just how great this man was.
May he rest in peace.
