You know, tonsil stones, also known as tonsilloliths, are these really strange things that can show up in your mouth. Picture this: small, hard formations, either a chalky white or a sort of yellowish tint, clinging to your tonsils. What causes them? Well, it’s all that gunk that gets trapped there.

Bits of food that didn’t quite make their way down the hatch, along with bacteria and fungi that love to set up camp in warm, moist places like your throat. Now, most of the time, these tonsil stones aren’t going to do you any real harm. But don’t let that fool you, because they can definitely be a nuisance.
