Richard Cohen, the hubby of former “Today” show host Meredith Vieira, passed away on Christmas Eve. He was 76 and had been living with multiple sclerosis (MS) for over 50 years, on top of surviving two cancer diagnoses.
Current “Today” host Hoda Kotb announced Cohen’s death on Tuesday, January 7th. She mentioned that he was “surrounded by his family and love” when he left this world. Their three kids, Lily, Gabriel, and Benjamin, were all there by his side.
Kotb shared that the family had gotten together around Thanksgiving and were “worried they might lose him sooner than expected.”
