How to Clean Baseboards
Tools Needed
- Dish soap
- Water
- Bucket
- Microfiber cloth
- Cotton swabs
- Bath towel or yoga mat
Steps
- First, move all furniture away from the walls.
- Use a microfiber cloth and a bath towel or yoga mat to dry – dust the baseboards. A dry microfiber cloth can pick up more dust and prevent oily build – up.
- Mix a few drops of dish soap with warm water in a bucket.
- Soak a clean microfiber cloth in the soapy water and start deep – cleaning the baseboards.
- Wipe all baseboards with the damp cloth. Remember to change the soapy water when it gets dirty.
- Dry the baseboards with another clean microfiber cloth or use a fan to dry them.
- Once dry, move the furniture back.
After cleaning, maintain your baseboards by cleaning them weekly or bi – weekly. Just move the furniture aside and use a microfiber cloth.
