Eyebrows are a big beauty trend area. Social media is full of crazy brow styles, like unicorn horns, Nike swooshes, and fishtail designs. Now, there’s a new one: halo brows.
Like many strange beauty trends, halo brows came from social media. TikTok and Instagram are where trends that break beauty rules start.
Halo brows, a halo – like arc on the forehead connecting both brows, were created by 16 – year – old British influencer Hannah Lyne. Her new design went viral fast.
Lyne said she and a friend thought of it while talking about fishtail brows. She told Pop Sugar it wasn’t a joke and was inspired by fishtail brows. She told Yahoo Style she wanted people to have fun with silly, creative looks.
Halo brows got mixed reactions. Some Instagram users loved it and praised Lyne’s creativity. But most netizens thought it was a “ridiculous” fad. Some said they’d delete Instagram because of it.
Cosmopolitan called the “heavenly halo brows” “strangely beautiful”.
Even if you don’t like the look, it’s interesting to see makeup artists trying new brow styles.
