Sharon Osbourne Shares Heartbreaking Update on Ozzy Osbourne, Leaving Fans Stunned

Ozzy Osbourne made headlines in August 2022 when he and his wife, Sharon, announced plans to leave Los Angeles after over two decades and return to the UK. Nearly two years later, the move still hasn’t happened.

On a recent episode of The Osbournes Podcast, which aired Tuesday, July 16, Sharon and Ozzy shared an update on their delayed plans. “We’re trying to get on a flight,” said Ozzy, 75, in response to a fan question about the move.

Sharon, 71, explained that Ozzy’s health has been the main obstacle. In January, Ozzy revealed he has undergone “seven surgeries in the past five years,” including a major spinal surgery in September 2023. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2003, Ozzy continues to receive treatment to manage his symptoms.

“Every time we’re ready to go, something happens with Ozzy’s health,” Sharon said on the podcast. Despite the challenges, she remains optimistic. “We’ll get there. We want to go back so badly, and we’ll make it happen, won’t we, Ozzy?”

“Yeah,” Ozzy responded, with Sharon encouraging him, “We will.”

Ozzy has been vocal about his reasons for wanting to leave the U.S., citing the country’s political instability and gun violence. “Everything’s f—— ridiculous there,” he told The Observer in August 2022. “I’m tired of people getting killed every day. There’s been countless school shootings and the mass shooting in Vegas… It’s f—— crazy. I don’t want to die in America. I’m English. I want to go home.”

Sharon echoed his sentiments, saying, “America has changed so much. It doesn’t feel united anymore. It’s a very strange place to live right now.”

Initially, the couple planned to return to the UK in February 2023. Their family includes their children Kelly, 39, Jack, 38, and Aimee, 40, as well as Jessica and Louis, whom Ozzy shares with his first wife, Thelma Riley. While their plans have been delayed, the Osbournes remain hopeful about finally making the move.

During renovations on their Buckinghamshire home—including the addition of a swimming pool and a music studio for Ozzy—the legendary rocker has been opening up about his health journey on The Osbournes Podcast.

In January, Ozzy shared a positive update, proudly stating that sobriety has significantly improved his well-being. After years battling drug and alcohol addiction, he revealed, “My blood clots are gone, and everything’s back to normal.”

Despite these victories, the emotional toll of his ongoing health struggles is evident. On this week’s podcast episode, a listener asked Ozzy about something he wished he could regain. His heartfelt response: “My health.”

“When you lose your health, nothing else f—— matters,” he said, reflecting on the challenges he continues to face.
