“America Has Put Our Trust In God”: Trump Delivers Blunt Message To Those Trying To Rid U.S. Of Faith

President Donald Trump delivered a series of notable messages and statements during Holy Week, but one in particular seemed to stand out to our audience at Million Voices: the importance of America’s trust in God.
“This is really — I hope — going to be one of the great Easters ever, because we have something going that I don’t think this country has seen in 100 years. And as we gather with family and friends, we’ll not forget the true source of our joy and our strength: America has put our trust in God,” Trump said during a Wednesday (April 16) prayer service and dinner, according to Fox News. “It will always be ‘In God We Trust.’ We will never change that.”
“You know there’s a movement to change it,” he added. “It won’t happen. We won’t let that happen. Can you imagine a movement to change that?” Standing Up For Persecuted Christians
Trump went on to say he felt the previous administration failed to stand up for persecuted Christians, not just here at home but around the world. It is true that under the Biden administration, Nigeria was removed from the list of “Countries of Particular Concern,” despite at least 52,000 estimated deaths related to anti-Christian violence in recent years.
“We had nobody fighting for our Christians in other parts of the world, that were being so incredibly destroyed, killed, injured, hurt. But they died, so many died. You wouldn’t think that could happen in this time — in this modern time,” the President continued.
Trump’s statements are significant as many experts have recently called upon him to take a more strategic role in protecting Christians throughout the world, not just here at home. This seems to suggest that Trump really is listening to what the American people want.

Rooting Out Anti-Christian Bias At Home
The creation of the White House Faith Office comes in harsh juxtaposition to what many felt was a normalized anti-Christian bias under the previous administration, particularly in the actions of the Justice Department, Trump continued, according to Fox. “You don’t hear about that very much, but there is anti-Christian bias,” he added.
“With God’s help we can overcome every challenge, triumph over every evil, and restore the spirit of faith in the United States for generations to come,” he concluded. “We have a very simple slogan: ‘Make America Great Again,’ and that’s exactly what we’re doing.”
