Doctor Gives Warning Effects of Vaping Even Without Nicotine

Most think vaping’s fairly safe, but a new study says even zero-nicotine vapes can be bad. The study checked these against nicotine vapes and cigs. If you thought vaping was okay, this might make you quit.

A U. Penn study in Medical and Life Sciences looked at smoking and vaping’s effects on blood vessels. The vascular system moves blood and lymph, like a body’s plumbing. Veins and arteries carry blood, bringing nutrients and dumping waste. The study took 31 vapers and smokers, 21 to 49. They got two MRIs: one before and one after using nicotine vapes, no-nicotine vapes, or cigs. Blood flow and return to the heart were measured and compared to 10 non-users, 21 to 33.
