She was close to Ontlametse Phalatse, who passed away last year at 18, the only black sufferer in South Africa.
Beandri’s mom Bea confirmed on Facebook that she lost her battle yesterday and thanked fans for their love.
She said: “We’re deeply sad to announce Beandri’s passing. She was a beloved, inspiring young woman full of hope and joy.
“Beandri was known for her lively spirit and laugh, and as the last with progeria in South Africa. She raised awareness and inspired thousands. She never stopped fighting.”
Beandri said earlier this year: “I’ve had progeria since birth. I’m used to it and learned to handle challenges and surgeries.
“I face what God gives me. My family’s support made me strong, treating me like a normal kid.
