A 32-year-old woman was attacked by a polar bear after she jumped into their enclosure at the Berlin zoo

If you’ve ever been to a zoo, you’ve surely seen signs warning visitors not to feed or get close to the animals. It’s for the safety of both people and animals.

Sadly, accidents do occur, and sometimes people deliberately put themselves in danger. That’s what happened to a 32-year-old teacher, Mandy K, who was desperate after being jobless for a while.

At the Berlin Zoo, Mandy K climbed over a fence, some hedges, and a wall to jump into the polar bear enclosure. She did this while the bears were being fed.

Unsurprisingly, one of the bears attacked her, leaving her with severe bite wounds.

Fortunately, a zoo employee managed to scare the bear away and save her.

She was badly injured on her arm, leg, and back and is now recovering in the hospital after surgery.
