Medrick Burnett Jr., an Alabama A&M student, passed away Wednesday night. He got a head injury in an October football game. Jefferson County Deputy Coroner AJ Clifton told The Athletic on Friday.
On October 26, at the Magic City Classic, the freshman linebacker got hurt. The Bulldogs lost 27-19 to Alabama State.
Clifton didn’t give more details to The Athletic. But a press release is expected later today.
