Second Body Found: 7-Year-Old Kid Dies After Explosion In Newcastle
The 7-year-old who died in the Newcastle blast was named Archie York. His family shared his name to remember him.
Another body, thought to be a man in his 30s, was found. A Northumbria Police spokesperson offered sympathy, saying, “Our thoughts are with the families. We’re helping them, and ask for privacy respect.”
The blast hit Newcastle’s Benwell and Elswick early on October 16. Emergency crews rushed to the chaotic, damaged scene. Six others were hospitalized (five adults, one child), and all but one have been discharged. The remaining patient, a 30-something man, is in serious but stable condition.
