The vet, seeing the urgency, agreed to come. She knew transporting the snake could make things worse and put everyone at risk. With her decision, the workers got ready for her arrival, anxious and hopeful the snake would get the help it needed in time.
But getting to the workers was a challenge for the vet. She didn’t know where the snake and workers were. Plus, it was rush hour, so she might get stuck in traffic. Still, she had to get there fast to give the snake the best shot.
One worker offered to pick her up, but that would take too long. Luckily, another worker had a good idea. There were people in the company’s warehouse who knew where the workers were and how to get there. The vet agreed to meet at the warehouse.
After explaining the situation, a manager helped. They used his off-road jeep to cross the rainforest. The vet had a wild ride, as getting through the Amazon is never easy.
The trip took about 3 hours. During it, the vet wondered if this snake’s life was worth spending a full day — and maybe an extra one — on. Other animals might need her help too.
