In his 2018 memoir, “Chasing Hope: A Patient’s Deep Dive Into Stern Cells, Faith, and the Future”, Cohen opened up about his battle with MS and how it affected his loved ones.
“Chronic illness is a family thing,” he explained. “Spouses have the burden of taking care of a loved one’s needs, even when they secretly might want to toss him out a window. I knew they shouldn’t be treated like spectators when they’re in the fight with us.”
Cohen also said he had a “long-term relationship” with hope.
