Doctor Reveals: MRI Scan Of The Face Of A 33-Year-Old Woman Reveals Where All Of Her Filler Went

On July 12, Dr. Kami Parsa, an oculoplastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, posted a patient’s MRI video on TikTok. The 33-year-old female patient had gotten over 12 CC of hyaluronic acid filler in six years. The MRI, with over 7.2 million views, showed green dots (fillers) on a grey face, mainly on cheeks and lips. Dr. Parsa found the total filler volume was 28 CC, more than twice the amount injected, explaining that hyaluronic acid fillers are hydrophilic, meaning they like water and can stimulate tissue growth.

TikTok users were concerned. One said, “I don’t see how this won’t wreck the lymphatic system.” Others asked about Botox. Dr. Parsa said Botox is safe if done right. Many viewers shared their experiences of fillers not dissolving as promised.

Fillers have grown in popularity, and celebrities who overuse them get criticized. In March, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes faced social media backlash after “before and after” photos showed possible cosmetic changes. A physician assistant guessed they had Botox, fillers, and maybe facial surgery.
