At 17, she competed in the 2012 Paralympic Games, won 3 silver medals, 1 gold, and set a world record in the 100-meter freestyle.
New Chapter: Walking Again
In 2013, Victoria and her family opened the first Project Walk franchise on the East Coast, for helping paralyzed people walk again. Despite doctors’ doubts, Victoria took her first steps on November 11, 2015, with a harness and two coaches.
By March 3, 2016, she went from using crutches to walking independently. Walking’s still tough, but her story shows the power of hope, determination, and family support.
