In the post, they asked people to find something hidden in the woodland leaves. I couldn’t find anything unusual, but you can try.
Done? Find anything?
Many people couldn’t find anything wrong in the picture, so Missouri Wildlife explained later.
Once you see what was hidden, you won’t be able to unsee it!
There was a Copperhead snake hidden among the debris and foliage. Copperheads are great at camouflage. Untrained eyes can hardly spot them.
These snakes can bite when threatened, harming muscles, circulation, and breathing. Luckily, they’re rarely fatal. But they cause over 2,900 of the 7,000 – 8,000 snake attacks in the US each year.
So, next time you’re in the wild, watch out for leaf – covered trails (if you’re in Copperhead areas)!
I never thought of this before, and I didn’t know there was a snake in that picture. Did you?
