The recent LA wildfires have brought destruction, affecting countless lives, including well – known celebrities. Paris Hilton, Mandy Moore, Anthony Hopkins, and others have shared their heartbreaking losses.
On January 8, actor Billy Crystal and his wife, Janice Crystal, lost their Pacific Palisades home to the wildfires. They’d lived there for 46 years, raising their family. The 76 – year – old comedian told People, “Words can’t describe the devastation. We feel for our friends and neighbors who also lost their homes and businesses.” He reflected on the memories in the house and hoped for the community’s recovery.
Songwriter Diane Warren shared on Instagram that her beach house, owned for nearly 30 years, was destroyed. She posted a photo, saying, “This is the last pic of Leah’s rock from my beach house. There’s a rainbow, a sign of hope.” She was glad the animals and a nearby rescue ranch were safe.
Mandy Moore took to Instagram to express grief over the destruction in Altadena, where her family home was. She was grateful her family and pets were safe but said the disaster took an emotional toll. Her children’s school was gone, and many friends had lost everything. She said the community would rebuild.
