PARENTS KEPT THEIR BABY HIDDEN TO SHIELD HER FROM PEOPLE’S CURIOUS LOOKS. NOW, AT THE AGE OF 2, SHE LOOKS BEAUTIFUL.

Parents are always striving to safeguard their children, and these particular parents did something truly remarkable for their daughter. Little Vienna Brookshaw was born to her mom, Celine Casey, in April 2021 in the United Kingdom. When Casey first laid eyes on Vienna, she observed a birthmark on her forehead, precisely between her eyebrows.

This birthmark, known as congenital melanocytic nevus (CMN), didn’t pose any threat to Vienna’s health. However, her mom was concerned that it might take an emotional toll on her as she grew older. CMN is a condition in which a baby is born with a cluster of harmless pigment cells, and they had the potential to expand as Vienna aged.

The condition Vienna has is rather uncommon, and nobody could foresee just how much the birthmark would enlarge as she developed. Her mom, Casey, was determined to spare Vienna from any difficulties related to it as she grew up.

Immediately, Casey inquired of the doctors if there was any way to address the birthmark. She was fearful that if they didn’t have it removed, Vienna might hold it against her parents in the future.

Casey, the affectionate mother, stated, “We take pleasure in watching her progress on her journey, and we’re eager for the day when she matures and can articulate her own thoughts. We would love her unconditionally, even if we had left the birthmark intact.”

The reason Casey was intent on removing Vienna’s birthmark was that when Vienna was an infant, people would fix their gaze on her. Casey noticed that others treated her baby differently compared to other infants. This only strengthened her resolve to have the birthmark removed.

The NHS (National Health Service) declined to perform the surgery since they typically reject procedures that aren’t essential for a person’s physical well-being. They regarded the surgery as cosmetic and not vital.

Consequently, Casey initiated a fundraising drive to collect money for the surgery from alternative sources. In a mere 24 hours, kind-hearted individuals donated $52,000. Regrettably, this sum wasn’t sufficient as hospital expenses had skyrocketed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The young parents required an additional $27,000 for the surgery.

They once again appealed for assistance on GoFundMe to cover the extra costs associated with their daughter’s birthmark removal surgery.

The concerned mom elaborated, “Everyone has aspects of their body about which they feel self-conscious. The doctor claimed it wouldn’t impact Vienna’s mental health at present. But we didn’t perceive it in that light. She’s starting school at three, and young children are astute; they notice such things.”

Now, Vienna is two years old, and her birthmark has been entirely eradicated. The only remaining indication is a small scar on her forehead. Casey, her mom, routinely provides updates on her daughter’s recovery process and frequently remarks on how ‘adorable’ her baby girl is.

Even after the birthmark was removed, the parents traveled to London to have the surgeon assess how well the small scar on Vienna’s forehead had healed. They wanted to ensure that she didn’t require any further surgeries or treatments following the three she had already undergone. But currently, she’s a healthy two-year-old and has no need for additional medical attention!

We’re sending an abundance of good vibes to little Vienna. We hope she remains in good health always! Feel free to share this so that others can become acquainted with her story too!
