Baking Soda and Tea Tree Essential Oil
Mixing baking soda and tea tree essential oil creates a natural cleaner for pillows. It helps remove yellow stains and, with its antibacterial effect, gets rid of mites and bacteria.
- Ingredients: ½ cup (80 g) of baking powder, 10 drops of tea tree essential oil
- Steps: Put baking soda in a bowl, mix with tea tree oil. Spread the mixture on the pillow, let it sit for 45 minutes. Then rinse and dry in the sun.
Hydrogen Peroxide and Lemon
Combining hydrogen peroxide and lemon makes a homemade antimicrobial. It removes sweat and saliva stains from white pillows.
- Ingredients: ½ cup (125 ml) of lemon juice, 1 cup (250 ml) of hydrogen peroxide
- Steps: Add the ingredients to a bucket of warm water, soak the pillow for an hour. Then rinse in the washing machine as normal and dry in the sun.
