In a new film highlighting homelessness in England, Prince William shared never-before-seen photos from his first visit to the homeless shelter The Passage in 1993, accompanied by his mother, Princess Diana. At the time, William was just 11 years old, and his younger brother, Prince Harry, was 8.
The rare footage appears in a promotional video for the documentary, where William reflects on the experience:
“I remember how we talked, played chess, and connected with the people there. It was during that visit that I realized there are lives so different from your own. As a child, you think life is just what’s in front of you, and it’s hard to imagine beyond that.”
The future King’s words underline the lasting impact of his mother’s dedication to helping others.
