Woman discovers strange snake – like creature – you won’t believe what it really is

In the peaceful town of Santa Fe, Argentina, 46 – year – old Lujan Eroles had a jaw – dropping moment when she stumbled upon a strange critter in her garden.

At first glance, she thought it was a snake. But it turned out to be an astonishing example of nature’s mimicry: a 10 – centimeter – long creature that looked just like a serpent.

This discovery left Eroles and her neighbors in awe, sparking curiosity and lively discussions about the odd – looking creature.

Lujan Eroles recalled the moment of the startling find, saying her first reaction was to scream.

The unusual creature, with its snake – like features and strange eyes, immediately caught her attention. Neighbors rushed over to see this peculiar sight.

Eroles expressed her amazement, telling National Geographic, “I’ve never seen anything like it. It was exactly like a snake, and its eyes were so weird.”

She added, “I looked down and there it was, this strange animal. I was terrified, thinking it might be poisonous.”

“We all thought it was some kind of mutant, so we filmed it and posted it online to get people’s opinions.”

It looked like a snake, but those unusual eyes set it apart. “I was scared it was venomous,” Eroles said. The fear of facing a potentially deadly creature added to the drama, and Eroles knew right away this was no ordinary discovery.

Eventually, it was identified as the larva of a rare moth species native to Central America. Many thought it was an Elephant Hawk – Moth Caterpillar, and it had an amazing defense trick: it imitated the look of a snake to scare off would – be predators.
