The Collins Kids, a family of nine siblings, have a popular Instagram account. It’s common knowledge that Shaq is familiar with this family and pays them frequent visits.
Karissa, the young mother of nine children, has over 350,000 Instagram followers. Shaq interacted with the family on Instagram and visited them earlier this year.
During his first visit, he spent quality time with the kids, showing them lots of love. Later, Karissa wrote, “He came in and played ‘Watch ya mouth’ with the kids, showered them with affection, motivated them, entertained them, took pictures with them, gave them presents, encouraged us as parents, and just filled our hearts with so much love.”
Even this wonderful encounter was more than enough for the family, but the great athlete had something else in mind. Months after the initial meeting, he surprised the family with a dinner. “Shaq surprised us last night. He took us to Babes Chicken for a family dinner. It was amazing to sit outside and have a meal with him.”
While this delighted the family, the NBA star wasn’t done. The next day, he took the family to Mercedes to order a custom 15-passenger van, which was scheduled for delivery in mid-July.
His kindness astonished the family, and the kids adored him, constantly hugging him.
Shaq didn’t stop there! The family had another dinner with the NBA legend. Reportedly, he made the dinner guests extremely happy.
“He then took us to the Rainforest Café for dinner and paid for another table’s meal without even knowing that they were from out of state and on a mission. After her car broke down today, he tipped our waitress $1,000,” Karissa said.
During their second dinner, Shaq found out about the father of nine’s truck troubles. The air conditioning and heat in the truck hadn’t been working for a long time.
Shaq immediately came up with a plan. He bought the father a truck at the Ford showroom, right there with the family!
