Plastic surgeries are not commonplace, but they do occur from time to time. Some people might opt to reshape their nose, augment their breasts, enhance their lips, or give their face a more youthful glow.
Jessica Alves, formerly known as Rodrigo Alves, took it to an extreme, undergoing a multitude of procedures – perhaps as many as 70 – to transform herself into a human Barbie doll.
It’s perfectly acceptable to have some degree of dissatisfaction with your physical appearance. Always remember that you are beautiful and possess the potential to achieve remarkable things, regardless of what others may say.
Some individuals choose plastic surgery as a means to modify their looks. Jessica Alves, on the other hand, completely reinvented her entire appearance.
Jessica Alves – The Transformation
Jessica’s journey began in early 2020. Jessica Alves, who was born Rodrigo, came out as transgender in an interview with The Mirror.
“I was known as Ken, but deep down, I’ve always felt like Barbie,” said the 36-year-old. “I finally feel like my true self. Glamorous, feminine, and beautiful.”
From that moment on, she goes by Roddy and uses feminine pronouns “she” and “her.”
Coming Out as Transgender
Jessica acquired more feminine hips through hormone injections. Along with blonde hair extensions and false eyelashes, she now wears a D-cup bra. In July, she announced her name change to Jessica.
“For years, I tried to live my life as a man. I deceived myself with fake six-pack abs and artificial arm muscles,” she remarked. “I’ve always had a feminine mindset. Now my body aligns with my inner self.”
Jessica appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2018 and released a song titled Plastic World with Italian plastic surgeon Giacomo Urtis last year. She used to work as a flight attendant and currently has over 1 million followers on Instagram.
So, how did she reach this point? Jessica Rodrigo Alves was born in Sao Paolo, Brazil, on July 30, 1983. As a child, her grandfather bought her Jessica dolls, allowing her to dress them up as she pleased.

Some might argue that a child should be able to do what feels right rather than conform to societal norms.
This was the origin of Alves’s fascination with dolls, and she would soon make a significant impact on the world with her extreme transformation.
“Growing up, I was very feminine and used to play with dolls and wear my mother’s dresses and heels,” she added, stating that she disliked her appearance during her teenage years.
“I like to laugh, but it used to make my nose look wider. This really bothered me. My family members often wondered aloud which relative I had inherited that unattractive body part from. That’s why I decided to have it fixed first.”
Jessica Alves attended the London School of Economics in London. She had her first plastic surgery in 2004. That marked the start of her unending pursuit of physical perfection, a fixation she couldn’t break free from.
“I was never fully satisfied after an operation, and I still am not,” Jessica said.

Over the course of 20 years, Jessica has undergone over 100 procedures.
She has had multiple nose jobs, botox injections, fillers, pec implants, jaw and leg liposuction, hair transplant, calf shaping, artificial six-pack, and arm fillers. She even had four ribs removed and a “cat-eye” lift.
Jessica has spent over $500,000 on surgeries. She has become almost unrecognizable to her former classmates. It’s clear that she has morphodysphoria, a condition where a person has a distorted body image.

Now she aspires to be a Human Barbie.
Her quest for the perfect figure has proven to be extremely risky. In April 2016, Jessica was hospitalized due to necrosis.
Her septum became loose and a hole formed in her nose. She also had breathing difficulties and was hospitalized in Malaga, Spain. According to the Daily Mail, she was administered IV antibiotics every eight hours.
Dangerous Infection
Doctors were concerned that the infection might spread to her nose and face, potentially leading to gangrene.
“I can’t breathe through my nose and feel terrible. It collapsed. I have a specialist appointment in London in six weeks and hope surgery can be done soon,” Jessica Alves stated.
The Daily Mail reported that she had a chemical peel in Spain two years ago, using a lotion containing acid. After allowing it to soak in, she would peel off the old skin to reveal the new.
However, it was a very unpleasant experience. “It hurt and made my face red. It felt like burning,” she described. “Marbella is very sunny, so I can’t go out for the next few days without sun protection,” she remarked.
Jessica survived two harrowing situations. But after her 11th rhinoplasty in 2019, her nose collapsed. Botox was supposed to fix it in the last operation.
From Rodrigo to Jessica Alves
“The results of this surgery were initially very satisfactory, but now I’m going to have to have another surgery because it is sinking and I’m scared, to be honest,” Jessica told the Daily Mail.
“Each time is riskier than the last and I’m worried doctors won’t be able to fix my nose permanently.”
Jessica has gained worldwide fame for her unique appearance. Her complete transformation of her body has received mixed reviews, but ultimately, the most important thing is that she feels comfortable and happy.
As mentioned, Jessica Alves has always identified as female. Last year, during a photo shoot, she decided to fully embrace her true self.
In January, she told the NY Post, “Within a month I was diagnosed with gender dysphoric disorder and given the option to start the appropriate medication to transition.” “People used to stare at me because I looked androgynous and strange for a man. I hope they’re looking now because I’m beautiful.”
The transformation was not yet complete. Jessica was determined. She spent $35,000 on Adam’s apple and six-pack removal, breast enlargement, and knee, hip, and foot injections.
Jessica also had hormone therapy and face feminization surgery.
She said she had a few remaining procedures in July on This Morning.
“I need two or three more surgeries to finalize my transformation. I vow to never have plastic surgery again. “One can only endure so much. Every operation is scary, yet it’s what makes me who I am. I have to persevere through that.”
Jessica, 41, needs a penile inversion and testicle removal to complete her transition.
“I enjoy going to good hair salons and getting my nails, eyebrows, and eyelashes done,” she said. Roddy, who lives in London, loves buying dresses, high heels, and beautiful lingerie.
Reinvention of the Nose
Jessica has had nose jobs in Brazil, Colombia, Iran, America, and Istanbul. Two weeks ago, she had another nasal surgery due to breathing problems.
Many doctors declined to perform the procedure because they were unsure how to proceed. Finally, she found a doctor in Istanbul who used her ear cartilage. Now, she can finally breathe normally.

Bandaged after FIFTH Facelift
In 2024, TV star Jessica Alves still desired to “enhance” her appearance.
After her fifth facelift, the 41-year-old left a Turkish hospital in October covered in bandages, as reported by the Daily Mail. Alves said that dissolving her dermal fillers left her face with approximately four inches of loose skin. She had a “ponytail facelift,” a less invasive surgery that tightens the face and neck using staples along the hairline.
After the surgery, she was wheeled to a car wearing a headscarf. The sight was so shocking that the photos went viral.
“If I pinch myself, I could lose three or four inches of skin in my hand. The 41-year-old said the doctor removed five inches of skin because it was as springy as rubber.
