Golden Globes Go Silent As Nicole Kidman Honors Keith Urban

One of the biggest celebrity events is the Golden Globes, and even though it is more about acting, there is plenty of talking that takes place. This includes some paying honor to others, such as Nicole Kidman giving us a moment we will never forget.

When Nicole Kidman was at the award show accepting the Best Actress in a TV Miniseries or Movies award, it was a moment that was touching. There was something more touching to happen, however, because she was going to pay tribute in her speech.

It wasn’t the tribute that was given to her children, as she has done in the past. She wanted to pay tribute to the love of her life, Keith Urban.

She said: “Keith Urban, when my cheek is against yours everything melts away, and that is love. It’s true. I love you so much.”

As she said this, the room fell into a hush, and it was a silence that allowed people to really digest what she was saying. It was one of those special moments at the award show that was above and beyond any other performance.

It became even more touching as the camera scanned the crowd and found where Keith Urban was sitting. He had a very quiet reaction, licking his lips and obviously trying not to shed tears. It was a very powerful moment.

Others could feel the power of the moment as well, including Reese Witherspoon, who was sitting nearby. She glanced over at Keith Urban, smiling and almost as if she was feeling the love as well.

Before the speech, Kidman had stumbled when she tried to lean in to kiss her husband. It was a moment that was also an honest occurrence, and it shows just how much love the couple, who have been married since 2006 still carry for each other.
