“If cornered or attacked, they’ll defend themselves by flattening their heads, striking, and shaking their tails in leaves,” Foley told McClatchy News. “All that makes them seem dangerous to predators, so they’ll be left alone.”
Referring to the snake’s size, Foley added it was “not that unusual” and would take “several years to grow that big.”
Big or small, deadly or not, it’s best to keep your distance from snakes.
