Woman found dead on the bypass around Lake Amatitlán

The incident occurred at kilometer 24, on the Amatitlán Lake bypass.

Volunteer firefighters reported an armed attack against a woman. The incident occurred at  kilometer 24 , on the  Amatitlán Lake bypass .

Upon arriving at the scene, they noticed the woman had multiple gunshot wounds. Upon evaluation, they determined she was deceased.

The victim’s body was found on the side of the road with two gunshot wounds. The woman, approximately 20 to 25 years old, could not be identified. First responders said she was wearing light blue canvas pants, a black T-shirt, and white and purple sneakers.

It is initially known that the woman arrived at the scene on a motorcycle with another person, who in the midst of an argument allegedly shot her in vital parts, causing her death.

The National Civil Police  (PNC) arrived at the scene to cordon off the area, where they waited for prosecutors from the Public Ministry (MP) to gather evidence and then the body to investigate the case and try to find the deceased.
