Look Closer! The Whole

Spanish pole vaulter Gemma Tamarit has quickly emerged as a rising star in European athletics. Competing in the Spanish Indoor U18 Championships in 2023 and 2024, she has shown remarkable growth and resilience.

In 2023, Tamarit entered as the top-ranked athlete in her category with a personal best of 1.71 meters. After clearing earlier heights with ease, she attempted 1.76 meters but fell short. Despite missing the mark, her technical skill and determination impressed coaches.

By 2024, competition had intensified, yet Gemma returned stronger. No longer the top seed, she achieved a best clearance of 3.50 meters, securing third place and nearly doubling her previous best. A highlight came during her close attempt at 3.60 meters, showcasing improved technique and aerial control.

Her rapid progress reflects disciplined training, mental resilience, and rising competitive maturity. With strong coaching, growing fan support, and continued development, Tamarit is poised to challenge national records and compete internationally.

As the 2025 season approaches, her journey remains one to watch—proof that persistence and skill can propel young athletes toward greatness.
