Palmistry: Lines on the Hand and What They Mean

There are three main, long and visible lines on the hand. At the top of the palm is the heart line, in the middle is the head line, and at the bottom is the life line. These lines change as your life progresses, depending on your personality, attitudes, and experiences. But what do these lines really tell us?
The Life Line
As the name implies, it represents life and major life events. It starts between the index finger and the thumb and curves around the thumb. A long and clear life line suggests a rather stable life (note: its length isn’t always related to lifespan). An interrupted life line indicates a risk or a significant event that may disrupt your life. To estimate when the risk might occur, convert the length in centimeters to years. The middle of the line roughly corresponds to the mid – point of your life.
The Heart Line
The life line might be well – known, but many people ask palmists about the heart line.
- If it’s long, straight, and well – defined, you’re likely in (or will have) a beautiful, long – lasting love story.
- A short heart line might mean you tend to be a bit cold and self – centered.
- An interrupted heart line can signal a romantic breakup or a heart problem.
The Head Line
This line reveals intellectual and mental abilities. It’s horizontal, starting between the thumb and index finger and crossing the hand diagonally. A clear head line means a clear and sharp mind. A straight one indicates a more logical way of thinking. A wavy head line shows an intuitive mind. However, it doesn’t measure intelligence but rather how you think, your beliefs, morals, and general life attitude.
The Angel Line or the Luck Line
Unlike the first three lines, the Luck Line is a secondary line. It starts at the base of the wrist and goes up towards the middle finger. It often shows satisfaction from professional choices or social activities. It gives information about your professional and social life, cutting the palm in the center from the wrist up to the base of the fingers. A well – drawn Luck Line means strong motivation, making it easier to reach goals.
This line, also called the angel line, runs parallel to the life line. Many believe that people with this line are very lucky because it’s quite rare.
