In 2020, George had his first talk about being king. Royal biographer Robert Lacey said it was well-timed, to avoid the stress William had. Children’s wear designer Amaia Arrieta said George has known his role for a while. “He’s always had a more prominent role,” she said.
In 2016, when George was three, William said there was a right time to tell him. Instead, he focused on giving George a loving home. A palace insider said they were making it as easy as possible for George.
Before he’s king, George is doing his part. At King Charles III’s coronation in May 2023, he was a Page of Honor, helping with the robe and standing on the balcony. His parents thought he did great.
