The Oscar-winning actress takes pride in her beauty and the life lessons she has learned over the years, so she is unmoved by remarks about becoming older.

Joining Hall of Fame inductee Henry Winkler and Sarah Paulson at the Television Academy’s 27th Annual Hall of Fame Ceremony, which took place at the JW Marriott LA Live in Los Angeles on Saturday, August 16, Sally Field dazzled viewers with her classic beauty.

Winkler, who was standing between Field and Paulson, posted a happy selfie of the three of them on X, grinning broadly. He wrote as the caption, “Encircled by genius! A night to remember ⁦@MsSarahPaulson ⁩ ⁦@sally_field impressed [sic].

Fans were ecstatic to see the three together, but they were most impressed by Field’s gorgeous appearance. The admirer’s message was straightforward: “Sally Field and Dawn Wells, the prettiest actresses ever.”

“My god, that woman doesn’t age,” exclaimed another, unable to contain their awe. “Sally Field is still gorgeous.” Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️ [sic].

One fan said, “Doesn’t Sally Field look incredible!!!” with excitement. Another person expressed gratitude by saying, “Sally Field still looks great!” And one admirer said, “Sally, you look magnificent!” in a sincere way.

Since her adolescent debut in 1965’s “Gidget,” fans have followed Field, who has gone on to become one of Hollywood’s most adored actors for six decades. She once stated in a 2009 interview that she has never had cosmetic surgery, indicating that she had preferred to age naturally throughout the years.

Nevertheless, the 78-year-old acknowledged, “I remark, ‘Oh, I wish that weren’t happening to my neck,’ when I watch myself on TV. Additionally, your eyes are really swollen and your face is drooping.”

However, Field frequently feels disappointed when she encounters ladies who have had plastic surgery. Many of them were remarkably attractive when they were young, she has observed, but changing their appearance later in life appears to her to be a rejection of their current selves.

Field maintained her pride in her identity in 2024, stating that she has transcended people-pleasing. She clarified that although society frequently promotes the notion that growing older is a cause for shame, she now believes that to be wholly false.

Field enjoys becoming older, but she also understands that the profession that helped make her famous does not feel the same way about older women. In response to a question concerning ageism in Hollywood, she acknowledged that the situation is depressing.

“Even if there aren’t many true stories about women of any age, they do become increasingly scarce as people age. Additionally, women are typically the ones seeking a man. You could have shared so many more stories,” she said.

Field’s unvarnished and sincere self-examination is reminiscent of the openness of her 2018 memoir “In Pieces.” She thought that as people age, they inevitably have to compile and sort through the lessons life has taught them.

As the years ahead become fewer than the years lived, time has become a means for Field to cling to the things that are most important. Take a look at how the actress’s look has changed throughout time.
