Three Sisters Missing After Leaving Home with Their Father – Police Report
Officials believe the girls, under 10 years old, did not return home after they went on a trip out with their father last Friday. While visitation was included in the plan for the parents, the father stopped any contact.
On Sunday, June 1, 2025, the Wenatchee Police Department put out a report asking for help locating three girls who were last seen with their father on Friday, May 30, at around 5 p.m.
The two girls were due to visit the father as planned by court order, but the visit was missed and he is not contactable, the police added. He is Travis Decker and he has a 2017 GMS SIERRA vehicle.
Officials state Travis does not have a home and sleeps in his car, but is known for going to various hotels, motels and campsites around the area.
They claimed that although having visitation is part of their parenting agreement, he has acted differently which is considered abnormal.
She fits the description given: A person at the age of 32 who is 5’8″ tall, weighs 190 pounds and normally wears her black hair in a ponytail. The last thing seen on him was a light-colored shirt and dark-colored shorts.
Paityn (9), Evelyn (8) and Olivia (5) are the three daughters he has. She was last noticed wearing a blue shirt, purple shorts and pink Nikes. Her eyes are brown, her hair is brown and she measures about 4’8″.
There is no information about the outfit Evelyn was wearing the last time anyone saw her, but she has brown eyes and blond hair, just like her sister. Olivia was in a coral/pink shirt when she left her house with her dad.
The girls’ mother is named Whitney Decker (previously, Whitney VanWaveren). Whitney also made a post addressing the situation and asked those with any details about her kids or their father to contact her.
Last night Travis agreed to drop our daughters off at 8pm but never came.
The cops detected him getting on northbound Interstate-90 out of Wenatchee at 5:41. Please everyone keep a watch for him, since he put his phone on silence and every hotel across Wenatchee and East Wenatchee has been checked.
It was explained by Police that the case’s current details do not match the criteria for an AMBER Alert, but an Endangered Missing Person (EMP) alert has been launched and they are paying close attention to it.
At the same time, the story in Wenatchee takes place, an Australian woman’s case of disappearance is being talked about around the world.
Police are step up their search for 17-year-old Pheobe Bishop, who was last seen on May 15, 2025. At 8:30 a.m., Airport Drive in Bundaberg was where Pheobe was planned to travel, but she was not seen boarding her flight.
Her family has not heard from her since and she has not registered anywhere.
She went missing first on May 15, 2025. Queensland Police report that she was wearing a green tank top and grey sweatpants and carrying luggage when she was spotted.
Her family and the police say that Pheobe was about 180 centimeters tall, had a pale complexion, long dyed red hair and hazel eyes, so her sudden disappearance has left everyone greatly concerned.
The police said it was unusual for her to disappear and both ground and air searches around Airport Drive were carried out, but none of her belongings were found at first.
The investigation changed significantly on May 21. Officials stated the missing teen was Pheobe Bishop and that her case was now being considered suspicious.
A property in Gin Gin which was Pheobe’s home and a grey Hyundai ix35 thought to have taken her to the airport were announced as two crime scenes. The car, marked by Queensland registration 414EW3, has been taken in for further inquiries.
Police asked people who have dash-cam or CCTV records of a grey Hyundai ix35 in the Bundaberg or Gin Gin area on May 15 to share the footage. Police think the video could guide them in understanding Pheobe’s path as she was out that day.
May 26 saw the rescue team including specialist police such as the Dog Squad, teams from the SES and aerial support struggling to locate Pheobe. The investigation has now been carried out through the Good Night Scrub National Park and the area of Gin Gin.
Things often tied to the case have been recovered and are now being examined by forensic experts. Investigators found that materials were possibly taken from the Good Night Scrub site before
The authorities are asking for more help from the public and are interested in receiving additional information, videos or sightings of the grey Hyundai ix35 in and around Gin Gin anytime from May 15 to May 18.
Additionally, Pheobe’s family keeps dealing with the deep sadness caused by her disappearance. On a Facebook post dated May 26, Kylie Johnson wrote what the situation has done to their family emotionally.
After day 11 since Pheobe went missing, she wrote, “we are numb to all the tears and our broken hearts; this is too much to bear.” She stated that each day the family experiences confusion, sadness and complete powerlessness, trying to manage their life as the situation remains uncertain.
Kylie shared that the stress of not knowing what to do or push through when she felt stuck in a whirlwind of uncertainty was very trying for her.
The letter also contained a very sad incident that happened within the family. Your brother had asked the question, “Why won’t our calls go through to Phee?” She is always happy to answer our calls! Kylie said she didn’t know what to do, but she felt hopeful.
They are also exploring what she put up on social media such as a strange video she posted on TikTok on March 31.
Pheobe looks reflective and emotional as she posts on social media the day before she disappears. It is a fact that she will never be proud. We can’t see her or talk to her, but that’s what is best.”
Her comment referred to her relationship with her mother which indicated that there had been a lot of tension in the family for some time.
Later, Phoebe talked more about her household, letting fans know, “This time, we’re not going back to home for a while.” The line might allude to the fact that she kept moving around until she decided to remain living elsewhere.
The post is artistic, but it has made investigators and her family worry about her emotional state and unresolved issues in the time before she went missing.
While the police are searching for Pheobe, a few new stories have come out giving a clearer picture of her last weeks before disappearing.
Local store employees, people living nearby and her apartment mates have all given details that suggest her life that day was influenced by more than just exam results.
A staff member from IGA in Gin Gin , who said Pheobe often shopped there, told Daily Mail Australia how worried they are.
They described many situations where Pheobe was broke, without food and seemed to be in poor condition. Why didn’t anyone ask what happened to that little girl 10 weeks prior to this case? Who was there to support Jadine when life become difficult? the worker inquired.
The filmmakers said, “Pheobe looked as if she belonged to no one,” and they added, “This town isn’t supposed to move, but it does.” People are meant to flock to it, but it is almost always empty.
Its emotional testimony also mentioned that people have to pass checks for pets or reptiles but not for parenting unruly children in the UK.
Pheobe lived at a place in Gin Gin the weeks prior to her disappearance. Ms. Shari Loughland told reporters that the teen had lived at her place “for a few weeks, up to a month or two.”
But it looked like Pheobe was running into difficulties even though everything was new for her. A close friend, wishing to keep their identity hidden, provided what is said to be Pheobe’s last conversation with her which took place just ahead of Pheobe’s disappearance.
On May 12, 2025, Pheobe said, “I’ve improved and now I try to stay positive.” She also said that in three days she would be traveling to WA. You should leave this bedroom for some time since that will be good.”
To the question of how many days the trip would last, Pheobe simply said, “10 days beautiful x.”
Her writing gives the impression of emotional exhaustion and hope during the days before leaving what she called a troubled home life.
Things moved forward more when Tanika Kristan Bromley, Pheobe’s flatmate, was arrested on May 25, 2025, in relation to unrelated firearms transactions.
Police said they located a firearm that was shortened, ammunition and two fake handguns in the same grey Hyundai ix35 linked to Pheobe’s disappearance. There were more rounds of ammunition found at the Gin Gin house she lived in with Kristan and James Wood.
Since Kristan was denied bail, he now must answer to charges of illegally possessing firearms and restricted items. She was in Bundaberg Magistrates Court on May 26.
Police stated there is no evidence either Kristan or James was connected to disappearance of Pheobe, although both are being questioned according to procedure.
Pheobe’s other housemate, Mr. Wood, sent a number of messages since Pheobe disappeared and now they have been obtained by Daily Mail Australia.
Just two days following Pheobe’s disappearance, in a May 17 text message, James texted a friend that “there hasn’t been any luck, but we’re printing more flyers and continuing to search and hope she speaks or sees someone.”
In another message, James talked about having a hard time with the police: “I honestly can’t believe cops asked me if I did her in!”
James was questioned by the police but was let go and is now under no suspicion.
While investigating Pheobe’s whereabouts, police are paying attention to various tips and are also performing forensic tests.
People are concerned about the final moments of Pheobe’s life, but everyone in her community is still only focused on finding her and bringing her home safely.
