“Welcome to the World, Freddie!” – Spandau Ballet Star Tony Hadley Becomes a Grandfather at 64 in Emotional Family Moment

Tony Hadley, former frontman of 80s supergroup Spandau Ballet, has officially entered a new chapter in life — becoming a grandfather for the very first time.

The 64-year-old singer beamed with pride as he announced the arrival of his grandson, Freddie-Floyd Hadley Huntley, born on May 19 to his daughter Toni and her partner Andy Huntley.

Tony took to Instagram to share the heartwarming news, posting a black-and-white photo of baby Freddie with the caption: “We’re so proud and happy to welcome little Freddie to the world! He’s so gorgeous! Toni and Andy and all the family are over the moon! Love, Papa Tone xx.”

In a tender family video posted by Toni, the moment Tony embraced his daughter shortly after the birth was captured — a rare glimpse of pure emotion from the chart-topping star who once ruled nightclubs with hits like Gold.

Toni gushed in her own post: “No words will ever come close to the love we feel for him… Freddie-Floyd, you’ve made us the happiest we’ve ever been. You are everything.”

The touching update comes as Tony gears up for a European tour, years after leaving Spandau Ballet following tensions with his bandmates. He has remained vocal about those fractured relationships, saying in a past interview: “You could offer me all the tea in China and I wouldn’t get back with them.”

But as he cradled his newborn grandson, the past seemed to fade — replaced by pure joy, fresh beginnings, and a new generation of Hadley love.
