Brazilian woman marries a rag doll made by her mother and has a baby with her “husband”
KUALA LUMPUR, June 22 ― A woman in Brazil made headlines after marrying a homemade rag doll and now they have a baby together.
Meirivoye Rocha Moraes, 37, said it was love at first sight when her mother introduced her to Marcelo, The Mirror reported.
To make things even stranger, Moraes and Marcelo even have a baby together.
Moraes said her mother made the doll after hearing her complaints about being single and having no one to dance with.
After meeting Marcelo, Moraes had a passionate romance, and the couple decided to marry in a ceremony attended by some 250 guests.
Moraes said life with Marcelo was wonderful, although she admits her husband can be a bit lazy.
“I went to these dances, but I didn’t always find a partner. Then he came into my life and everything made sense,” she reportedly said.
Looking back on her wedding day, Moraes said it was wonderful.
“He’s a man I’ve always wanted in my life. Married life with him is wonderful.”
“He doesn’t fight with me, he doesn’t argue, and he simply understands me. Marcelo is an excellent and faithful husband. He’s such a special man that all women envy him.” After the wedding, the couple spent their honeymoon in Rio de Janeiro.
The couple also welcomed their baby boy, Marcelinho, on May 21, an event that Moraes livestreamed to an audience of 200.
“It really bothers me when people say this is fake.”
“It really angers me. I’m a woman of character. My father and mother taught me to be honest, to be a good person, and not to take advantage of anyone.”
