They lived independently in Dayton, US, for 20 years and figured out how to do household tasks like shaving (they shaved each other) and laundry.

However, Ronnie and Donnie had a big problem sleeping. They could only sleep one at a time, taking turns, as they couldn’t both lie flat.
That was until they were in their late fifties and got a specially made bed.
In their later years, their brother Jim and his wife Mary supported them. They still got around in their custom wheelchair.
Even though doctors estimated their mental development at around 10 years old, Ronnie and Donnie were happy with their love of car toys and games.
