Nurse at palliative care reveals the top 5 regrets of people right before they died

Most of the time, we take things for granted and don’t cherish what we’ve got until it’s too late.

Regretting our mistakes and the chances we were too scared to take is just human nature. Sometimes, life gives us a second shot to set things right; other times, we’re stuck with our regrets, mourning lost opportunities.

Ever wonder what folks like you and me regret the most?

Bronnie Ware, a nurse who’s spent most of her career in palliative care and watched countless patients take their last breaths, reveals the top five regrets of those nearing the end.

In her book “The Top Five Regrets of the Dying: A Life Transformed by the Dearly Departing,” she writes: “My patients were going home to die. We had some truly special times. I was with them in their final three to twelve weeks… I worked in palliative care for years.”
